Cindy Unmisig ( Educational Talent Search ) will meet with HS students this Friday, March 8. 9&10th grade – 10:45-11:15 11&12th grade – 11:30-12:03
They will meet in the Library.
Student Council is selling raffle tickets! Raffle prizes will be distributed at lunch each day during the week of March 11-15 to support Mr. LHS and the Variety Show! Raffle prizes include premium parking spot, prom ticket, concession stand gift card, free corsage/boutonniere, homework passes, Yeti cup, candy, and more! Multiple tickets drawn each day during lunch. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5! See any StuCo member for details!
Congratulations to the junior high quiz bowl team with a win against Mendon. They won the first game against 6th and 7th graders. We lost the second match by 5 points against 8th graders. Great job guys!
Congratulations to the Section 8 FCCLA STAR Event Participants who advanced to State Competition. Justine Obert, Zoey Obert, Jasmine Thompson, Emilie Thompson, Mara Ippensen, Mariisa Mintle, Courtney Kirby, Gena Zengel, and Ella Mixer.
HS Students – join us at 5:00pm on March 13 for a student bonding opportunities with Curtis from Young Life. You will have an opportunity to listen to a speaker tell her story of overcoming personal obstacles and struggles.
Seniors – Jostens will be here to pass out graduation items on March 7 starting at 7:30.
The Dental Safari team will be here on March 27 to do dental checkups and cleanings for any student who wants to be seen. The clinic will be held in Ms. Frericks'
room.
JH semi-formal dance is going to be on Friday, April 5. It is from 6:00-9:00 PM. It is $3 per student!
Sports Picture Day will be Wednesday, March 13, beginning at 2:00 pm.
There is a new scholarship available for seniors from the Quincy Service League, please see Mr. Adams for more information.
Student Council is planning our first-ever Variety Show and we want YOU! We are looking for performers of all talents. If you would be interested, please see Mrs. Schmidt by March 1st to sign up with your talent! We are looking for individuals, pairs, groups, anything! If you think you have what it takes to entertain, we are looking for you! Mandatory rehearsal will be March 7 immediately after school. Questions should be directed to Mrs. Schmidt!
The JWCC Agricultural Sciences Department and JWCC Foundation Department are offering scholarship awards to entering agriculture students. The awards range from $250 to $500, with approximately 10 scholarships available. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION IS 5:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2019. See Mr. Adams for details.
