Liberty Parents,
This past semester we have had quite a few students say or post comments they should not have. This is very concerning, as some comments force the school district to react. We understand that people say or write things when they are angry. However, we all know that certain spoken or written comments can have tough consequences.
Please talk to your child about remaining calm and avoid saying or writing hurtful or threatening comments. Tell them to seek out a teacher for guidance and support before they say or write anything. We must put the Seven Habits into play: ”Seek first to Understand, then be Understood.”
In addition to the above, I hope students and parents exhibit good sportsmanship at our games/events and treat everyone with respect and dignity. We need to set an example for others. Also, let’s work on saying things nicely. Let us promote kindness rather than negativity.
Thanks for your help! We want to be proactive on any future problems.
Respectfully,
Kelle Bunch
Superintendent
