Students:
JH & HS report cards will go home Wednesday.
JH and HS FCCLA group yearbook pictures will be taken 2nd hour tomorrow, Thursday, January 14. Students are to report to 2nd hour for attendance and an announcement will be made to dismiss them to the gym.
HS Quiz bowl practice will be held after school today in Mr. McGinty's room.

The votes are in! The theme for the 2016 homecoming decorations will be “A Night in the Big City”.
Classes will meet to decide on their city……
Juniors – Thursday at 7:30 am
Sophomores – Thursday during lunch
Freshmen – Friday during lunch
HS Students – If you are bringing a guest to the Homecoming dance on January 30, 2016 from another school, you must have a guest permission form on file in the HS office by January 27.
FCCLA Chapter meeting on Wednesday, January 13 during lunch for both JH & HS students.
GP After-Prom Committee is serving WALKING TACOS at the Jan 22 game vs. Liberty. Bring your appetite to the game!
Any 7th or 8th grade student who would like to join Junior High Quiz Bowl sign up with Mrs. Klingle or Miss Jackson. Practice will be Wed (13th) and Thur (14th) after school from 3:10-4:30 in Miss Jackson’s room.
Two scholarship opportunities for Seniors for trade school/community college/4-year college:
1. Altrusa International of Quincy is offering a $1,000 scholarship for anyone with a GPA of 2.8 or higher. See Mr. Adam's for details.
2. The National Defense Transportation Associate (NDTA) Scott/St. Louis Chapter 2016 Scholastic Awards is available for applying. See Mr. Adams for applications and more information.
Seniors: There will be a FAFSA completion workshop on January 27th in the High school computer lab. Financial aid experts will be on hand from 7-9 p.m. that evening for you and your parent to come in and file for the FAFSA. See Mr. Adams for a list of documentation that you will need to bring with you.
Hello student body! Homecoming is just 24 short days away. We need a theme. Please put any theme suggestions in the yellow bucket in the main office by Friday. The student body will vote on the theme on Monday, January 11, during lunch.

March 11 – End of 3rd nine weeks – School Improvement Day, 11:30 dismissal
