HAPPY ST. PATRICKS’S DAY!!!!!!!
Picture Day, 7 – 12 grades- Lifetouch will take spring pictures on March 31, 2016 forms available in the HS office.
JH girls volleyball players need to turn their uniforms in to Mr Miller, we are still missing a few.
Cheerleaders need to turn their uniforms in to Mr. Miller.
8th grade students – Carla Churchill –Lentz will be taking group and individual pictures of the 8th grade class on April 19, 2016. Form will be coming!
Congratulations to Abbigail Milhauser and Danielle Sorenson for being accepted into the 42nd annual High School Art Competition at the Quincy Art Center! Teen Take-Over Night is this Friday evening with live music, food, and an award ceremony at 7:30pm.
Representatives from the VFW will be here today to present awards for the essay contests.
--High school students who entered theVoice of Democracy contest, please come to Mrs. Miller's room at 11:45 this morning for the awards presentation.
--Jr. High awards will be presented at noon in the gym.
We will take pictures of the winners after the presentation of awards.
Donkey basketball is returning to Payson Seymour High School on Tuesday, March 22, at 6:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $6 and will be $8 at the door. To get your tickets, please call 656-3323 by Monday, March 21.
Students: The daily announcements will now be posted in the window of the HS office for your reading enjoyment; what a great way to stay informed!!!! J
Check out the new LHS baseball apparel. Order forms available outside the HS office or from any LHS baseball player.
Thursday there will be a Lucky Charm eating contest at 12:30 in the lobby. We will see who can eat their cereal the fastest. The contest will be open to the first ten that sign up. The sign up sheet is hanging outside of the office. Good luck and eat fast.
Juniors: Junior JDUB day will be on April 1st. It is a day to learn more about programs at JWCC, have some fun, win some prizes, and eat some pizza. If you decide to go, this will count as one of your two approved college visit days. If you are interested, sign up at https://www.jwcc.edu/jdub-day-2016/. (There will be no school provided transportation, you will need to find your own ride, just like any other college visit day).
The Jim Wand hypnotist show is coming quickly! It is on March 17 at 7 PM. The doors will open at 6 PM. See Rachel Buyck, Mr. Buyck, or any of the chapter FFA officers to get your tickets. Tickets prior to the show are $15 for floor seats and $12 for bleacher seats. At the door, they will go up $3. The show will be full of humor and well worth your money!
Juniors - only Juniors who are planning on taking dual-credit classes next year (College English, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, or College Biology) will be going to take the COMPASS test on Friday. If you are planning on taking one of these classes next year, please have your permission form turned into Mr. Adams by Thursday.
