Music streaming sites were blocked because they were taking up too much bandwidth. There were students that were not able to access educational resources due to the fact that so much bandwidth was being wasted on music. Education takes priority over entertainment.
Farm Animal Day
On February 21, 2017, FFA is sponsoring their annual Farm Animal Day. They bring in a few farm animals and put up pens in the Ag Shop. Then each classroom can schedule a visit and be educated on the care of these animals. This year there could be pigs, cows, donkeys, horses, rabbits, chickens, and turkeys. Strict guidelines are followed for appropriate supervision, cleaning and disinfecting the area the animals are in, and disposing of waste from the animals. Food or drink is not permitted around the area the animals will be showcased.
With allergies, asthma, and other health issues, if you would prefer that your child NOT participate in this educational opportunity please submit written notification by the morning of February 21, 2017. This has always been a great experience for our students and we appreciate the FFA for holding this event.
Thank you,
