Students:
Juniors & Seniors – If you are bringing a guest to prom that does not attend LHS you must have a dance request form on file in the HS office. Stop by and see me if you have questions. Your guest must have a photo ID at check in on prom night.
7th graders – If you are interested in playing JH baseball next year, please sign up in the HS office.
8-11 graders – If you are interested in being on the HS cheer squad please sign up in the HS office. We will hold try outs in a few weeks.
If you are interested in being an FCCLA Member next year and would like to participate in a fundraiser to help pay your activity fee, please see Mrs. Meyer for the pizza fundraiser form today. This is an opportunity for students who will be 7-12 graders next year.
Applications are currently being accepted for ISBE's Student Advisory Council for the 2017-18 school year. Students attending a public high school in Illinois who are entering the fall semester as a sophomore, junior, or senior are eligible to apply. The application is now available at https://www.isbe.net/Pages/Students-Advisory-Council.aspx. Ten positions are open for the 2017-18 school year. Interested candidates must complete the application and essays. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. May 26. If you have questions, please contact Vince Camille at (217) 557-6763 or vcamille@isbe.net
Educational Talent Search – Cindy Unmisig will meet with 9-12 graders on Monday.
Monday - 12:50-1:30 9 & 10th grades
1:40-2:20 11 & 12 grades
Next week is the Hot Lunch Review, so we will need to set up the check-in at the end of the line for the entire week. Students will be served everything that is listed on the menu that day when they go through the line.
Seniors: LUTA and LCA Scholarship applications are due to Mr. Adams by April 21. See Mrs. Miller if you need a new copy of the application. Don't miss out on this chance to earn some $$ for your future!
If you have school supplies that you will NOT be using, and that your parents do NOT expect you to bring home, please donate them to the School Supplies Bank in Mrs. Mountain's room. We take just about anything: markers, crayons, loose-leaf paper, notebooks, binders, pens/pencils, folders. Even if your name's on it, we'll take it. Even if you've used sections of a notebook, we'll take it. Keep us in mind!
Juniors: JDUB day at John Wood Community College will be on April 21st. There will be a lot of fun events and competitions going on while you get the opportunity to learn more about what JWCC has to offer. If you plan on attending, you will need to RSVP at www.jwcc.edu/jdub, you will also need to turn in a prearranged absence form for the day. If you have any questions please speak with Mr. Adams. REMINDER- JDUB day is a school event; attendance will be taken and commutated with us.
